WHAT CAN ACUPUNCTURE TREAT?
It is endorsed by the National Institution of Health on November 5, 1997, acupuncture is most effective in the treatment of postoperative and chemotherapy nausea and vomiting and in postoperative dental pain. In a recent NCCAOM funded study, results showed that acupuncture is effective for the treatment of chronic pain.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will cover acupuncture for chronic low back pain under section 1862(a)(1)(A) of the Social Security Act.
