In a recent NCCAOM funded study, results showed that acupuncture is effective for the treatment of chronic pain.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will cover acupuncture for chronic low back pain under section 1862(a)(1)(A) of the Social Security Act.
